The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed regarding the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support issue established for intervention activities a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult SRD with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
